Newcastle upon Tyne. A completely different environment to what I have been used to for the past 3 years but of course still familiar. Moving from Chicago back to my home town was much harder than I had anticipated, both physically and psychologically, but I'm still confident that I made the right decision. It's strange, this place that was once my home is now no more than an empty shell. I have been removed from "home" for such a long time now and I don't seem to be part of it anymore.
As much as I will miss Chicago I look forward to the next chapter of my life. I believe that the adventure I'm about to embark on is not just an investment in my education, but an invaluable life experience that will hopefully shape and prepare me for a successful future. In just 3 years I have gained an enormous amount of confidence, professional training and life skills that combined, has changed my life tremendously. Without a doubt, my experiece in America has made me a much stronger person, which is why I look forward to the new challenges ahead and only hope they have an equal or greater effect.
